Well let me start by saying that I have been waiting for this day since the Tribe tossed it in last October. What an awful way to go out. Well stop pouting cupcake, today is a new day. I'm just going to have to slowly make the transition from "The Jake" to "The Prog".
It didn't take long to get my blood pumping for this season. The second inning was incredible......until Victor apparently pulled a hamstring due to all the running around the bases that was going on. Shoppach came in and handled his business so it ended up not really mattering. The bats were on fire, there's no doubt about that. Thirteen hits!!! C.C. had a rough day however. It's usually a good idea to not give up 5ER's in 5 innings. But since he's in a contract year, maybe he's just approaching it in a different way. Actually I think he's a genious......If you start off on fire and fizzle out at the end of the season, then everyone is upset. However if you start off reeeeaaallly crappy and finish the year on fire, then you are a hero. Bravo CC, Bravo.
Thome, on the other hand, had a great day. It's good to see him do well and for the Tribe to still get the W. Is it bad that it is the first game of the season and I am already terrified about what Borowski is going to end up costing this team.
Cleveland - 10
Chi White Sox - 8
POG - Franklin Gutierrez 3-3, 3RBI, 0LOB, 2R
